One word? When seven would do…

Why did it not occur to me?

when worrying about how my birthed two children pelvic floor would manage the tricky manouvere of getting down from the top bunk after a night’s sleep and a bladder full of wine not to bring the porta potty in from the car?

  1. You took a porta pottie????? And people had the nerve to laugh at me for bringing an electric coolbox, and at least I had the excuse of needing it to store Hannah’s erythroped in a place where sundry three year olds wouldn’t swig it out of the bottle.

  2. That’s porta potty as in the little collapsible one you use nappy bags with sanitary towels in (well that’s what they look like to me anyway!) not the one you would use when camping!

Mind you, if you could get travel en suite toilets and fit one of those blow up double beds in the room I would have brought them!

  3. Erythroped sounds like something you would store on a bike rack (but I have looked it up 🙂 )

  4. Oh, THAT sort of porta pottie? As in the one in my car??? NOW I understand. Trust me Nic, its not up to the job. Not until that night did I appreciate that two year olds must have very small bladders.

  5. But I was directly above the sink so I did have mid flow emptying opportunities 😉

  6. Well, if you can do mid flow emptying, your pelvic floor is in better nick than mine. And shudder at the thought of pee in the sink 😉 Does no one use the toilet in those places?

  7. TMI alert coming up – we didn’t use the sink to pee in although that had crossed my mind as a possibility when I asked for a room with one in it 🙂 Ady did however have a small emergency situation one evening when he was alone in the room with the kids, Scarlett was nearly asleep and Davies decided he needed a poo. Ady positioned him over the bin lined with a nappy sack and kept it there until I returned to the room when he went and (responsibly and appropriately) disposed of it!
