Six then! I’ve been reading back all of the ‘when she was…’ posts about Scarlett and enjoying the whistlestop tour of who she is and who she’s been. I’m a bit late with this actually as seven is looming.
So who is she now? She’s a riotous mix of all kinds of everything really. She still plays the baby when it suits – she still has her dummy at bedtime and every so often reminds me that she is *only* six. She is also incredibly mature in many other ways and capable of wisdom and insight way beyond her years.
Scarlett would list her best friends as Davies first and then in no particular order Alex, Chloe, Freya and then whoever else comes into her head. She remains very unfussed about politics of friendship, enjoys the good stuff and completely ignores the rest!
She remains an animal lover and adamant her future lies in something connected with animals and caring for them.
Scarlett has still never had a hair cut, although she tolerates it being brushed now. She tells me her favourite colour is no longer pink it is red, specifically scarlet red 😆
She is very generous and whilst she is hesitant to spend any money she has on herself she will happily buy gifts for others. She has truly discovered the joy of giving :).
Scarlett never, and I really do mean never, stops talking. She chatters constantly, giggles endearingly at the end of many of her sentences and at least one sentence in four is worth listening to ;). She is still very sunny natured and her default state is happy. She remains impatient and quick tempered and will always stand up for what she believes in and challenge and question things. She has been described as ‘cheeky’ I would call her more perceptive and vocal ;).
Scarlett still enjoys her swimming, Badgers, Rainbows, Wildlife Explorers and Magic Lantern film club. This year she has had two days away with Rainbows – an art day where she was with about 60 other Rainbows and Brownies doing painting, pottery and collage and a day trip to Drusillas. She enjoyed both very mucn and is liking the small strikes out on her own. The feedback I had from the Drusillas trip was that she refused to hold hands with anyone and for me that sort of sums up who Scarlett is really.
