One word? When seven would do…

Out with the old then…

I’ve already done my round up and I don’t do NY resolutions so this is just a round up of today rather than anything monumental.

I popped out to Sainsburys this morning to get a few bits to see us through the next few days – and some more alcohol for tonight!

Called in to see my parents on the way home and invite them over for dinner tomorrow – it’s their wedding anniversary. They declined as they already have arrangements but somehow wangled an invite over tonight. We had known they might try and were semi prepared for it so i was able to lay down a few conditions 😉 (for my dad, no lectures, no patronising and no talking over the TV about what rubbish it was if we chose to watch something! For my Mum no coming over and being all miserable and depressed! They need to bring their own beers and remember that they had requested our company not the other way round!!) felt much better for that 🙂

Came home and have been drinking snowballs all afternoon so am already feeling drowsy!

So, the children have been up since 5am and will no doubt be asleep very early tonight, we have got M&S ready meals so no one has to cook dinner and if I manage to stay awake I will be drinking champagne all night to see out the old year and see in the new one that I have high hopes for.

Happy New Year one and all – look forward to spending 2006 in your virtual – and in many cases real life – company. 🙂 xx
