Just had the post and in it is the pack for ‘The Attention of the parent of guardian of Scarlett Deborah Goddard’ containing all the information about her school place in September 2007 with the form to return for her school place.
I had Davies’ two years ago and ignored it, I got a reminder which I also ignored and I never heard any more. Hopefully the same will happen for Tarly.
Don’t think I knew Scarlett’s middle name before – what’s Davies’? S’funny, I never had those packs for any of my children – how do they get the names and addresses?

Yeah, how do they know they exist?

Davies’ is James. Davies was my maiden name and James is /was Ady’s middle name and his Dad’s first name.
Deborah was Ady’s sister’s name, so although I don’t particularly like the name it was the fitting thing to do. TBH I don’t have a clue what we would have used instead of it as Scarlett was the only girl’s name I’d ever thought of using, besides I wasn’t going to have a girl 😉

WRT how they know we exist it must be through the doctors / HV I guess. They have never attended any sort of nursery so are not in the system that way. I wondered if it was some sort of registration at birth but as Tarly was born in Manchester that obviously isn’t it. The only place they are recorded is through the GP or maybe through child benefit? Oh and of course Tarly has as SS record from when I locked her in the car 😆 so that will probably flag up when I don’t return the form back, well it would if they had any sort of system, which I don’t think they do!

I had them for all of mine. Obviously Pea went to school, the others I simply phoned up and said they would be educated otherwise and I’ve never heard a word since.

I got a letter when Becca was just over 2 to remind me she needed to register for pre-school for the September after she was 3, then another saying not to forget to register her for school the year after but nothing since. Mine came from the health authority although waht it has to do with them I never did work out!
