Mornin’

After another of our comedy routine nights we awoke to a dusting of snow. After being fine all day yesterday as soon as Ady got home last night Davies went into this ‘oh I am so so ill and I may well expire before morn’ type routine which totally pissed me off and was totally bought into by Ady. How can a child who has run round being rowdy all day, eaten stacks of chocolate and pretended he was Dangermouse suddenly be lying on the sofa unable to eat his lovingly charred fish fingers 🙂 and barely able to climb the stairs to bed???? He woke a couple of times during the evening and just as I was dropping off to sleep around midnight he woke again. I brought him into bed with us and he went straight to sleep.
I woke again a few hours later to discover Scarlett was also in the bed with us (Ady had gotten her), then Davies woke me again at 5am calling for Ady, who appeared from Davies’ bedroom and said with a gasp ‘where’s Scarlett?’

Was about to send out a search party when he remembered that he had put her back in her bed!

Scarlett finally woke me at 8am by appearing in bed with me wielding her bottle of milk and wearing a very stinky nappy.

Davies is still complaining of a sore throat so I have got a doc’s appointment for him this morning which will probably result in being told he is contagious with something horrid and will mean not only will all of the rest of us get it (and bring it to Melrose naturally!) that we won’t be able to go to group this afternoon!

Speaking of which I need to gather together all the bits I have said I’ll take and make up a few batches of playdough too. I also need to peel and chop loads of veggies for beef stew tonight before we go out so really I should be attending to one of these tasks instead of sitting here doing this. Right off I go then. No really I am going now. I am honestly. Right, I’ve gone!
