Can’t quite believe it’s happened but I seem to have run out of wine. Now usually I don’t let the alcohol level in my bloodstream dip below a certain level, let alone the supply in the chiller but oversights happen and this would be one!
So, I am two glasses in and nicely merry and craving more, listening to ‘vintage’ Robbie Williams while cooking dinner, doing my ‘two kids and I have to shop in Evans, but I’ve still got ‘it’ ‘ dance round the kitchen and I am faced with a choice between gin (had a bad experience aged about 17 on it and can only drink it when heavily disguised with a mixer – our mixer selection comprises mostly of ribena or petit filous yoghurt drinks!), ginger wine, brandy, mead or a couple of bottles of saki that Ady has stashed from some trade fair giveaway circa 1997.
Hmm, we’re having stir fry into which I have tipped a fair amount of ground ginger so in honour of that, and my hair, I think I will turn to Green’s in this hour of need 😉
I can imagine that dance…

I like ginger wine 🙂 And a Whisky Mac is the only way I can drink whisky.

don’t drink whisky at all anymore. I used to have an alter-ego called Whisky woman in my teens. By day I was a mild mannered, dressed all in black, DM wearing teen. By night, just add alcohol for whisky woman to come out. It was her mission to blaze a trail across nightclubs, falling off of her high heels, out of her top and into the arms of unsuspecting young men. She felt the need to tell everyone what she *really* thought of them and no stoop was too low in order to get her next hit of whisky! And sometimes she wore her pants on the outside too! 😉
Of course now she has been replaced by the vino vixen or the pimms princess and I’m not altogether sure either of them are any more desirable! ‘Gingered up Ginger’ last night seemed to be quite a fun girl though 😉
