Happy Birthday to Ady ?
TT1 and TT2 passed without any great happenings and then late afternoon we had Mum, Dad, Frazer and my Granny over for blowing out cake candles and singing Happy Birthday
Ady got very unexciting (IMO!) pressies of a dvd player / recorder which he intends to spend hours transferring all our many, many hours of home videos onto disc with; a Carry On film mutli pack dvd (urgh!) and a few other bits and pieces – but all at his request and he seems happy enough with them ?
We had intended to go out for a meal in one of the two pubs within walking distance from home – neither of which we had ever eaten in before. We got out slightly later than intended and had a beer in the first one, checked out the menu and deemed it ok but walked to the other pub to check theirs out too – their restaurant had closed and by the time we got back to the first pub their kitchen had shut too ? We had lots of peanuts and crisps to try and compensate and then went home very early cos the 3 glasses of wine on an empty stomach had gone to my head and in an effort to NOT recreate the drunken Nic incident of a couple of weeks ago we thought it wise to stop consuming alcohol. A very nice evening nonetheless – don’t think we have sat in a pub just the two of us since pre-children ? Came home and Ady cooked himself a curry and I went to bed!
