One word? When seven would do…

First easy lesson….

went very well indeed actually 🙂 We went and sat on the stairs as the instant Tarly thinks we might be doing something which leaves her out or behind she becomes a minx. She did come out and ask ‘doing Mummy?’ to which I answered ‘teaching Davies to read so he can read you stories too’ ‘oh right’ she said in such as way as you could almost believe she understands despite her tender years and off she went back to carry on bathing her baby (many a wet patch on our lounge carpet today I can tell you 🙂 ). So Davies gave it 100%, found it actually quite easy to follow and when we did the writing practise he surprised me by getting the S done even before I had shown him (although he does have one in his name so perhaps I should have been more ready for that!) and although he found the M a bit hard he kept trying ’til he got it right. If I can manage to keep it up and if I can manage to get the timing right so it remains something he enjoys and does not take him from doing something else I think this could work for us 🙂 (Hope it’s working for that family in Manchester too 😉 )

Both were asleep again by 7pm which I would love to put down to my stimulating and entertaining parenting today but I suspect is more to do with them still recovering!

New group again tomorrow in new venue which I am looking forward to, and of course more profuse blogging 🙂

Ros and Jenny I have read your most recent posts but blogger won’t let me comment so Jen – I’ll see you tomorrow and Ros – hopefully see you there too?

  1. Oh, I’m glad 1 EL went well. Hope your new venue is more child friendly than the last one.
