Could you convince Ady that after spending all your other weeks’ holidays with other people, it’d be *really* nice to spend a week with just him and the kids? Promise him fancy underwear, or whatever would work, lol – and point out that obviously spending the week all tense and stressed with your holidaymates isn’t going to bode well on the LI front …
It’d work on Chris anyway!
And the first bit seems perfectly legitimate really.

I *know* !!!! C does have ‘issues’ generally though so this is just another one of those. Basically I don’t think he ever wants to go anywhere he has not been before 🙁 Which can be tricky in life really, whereas I tend to be keen to never go to the same place twice if there is a chance of going somewhere else instead to try something new and different.
I agree Alison, just that both the other trips are with *my* friends and of my choosing so although he hasn’t said so I fear he could be silently seething at my selfishness 🙁
I think we’ve agreed not to go, me for all the reasons I mentioned and him cos he thinks I will ruin it if we went by not wanting to be there. I’m just a bit miffed that he can’t share my concerns instead of being concerned about how I would behave I guess. But yeah, I think we do have precious little time with just the 4 of us and it would be far nicer to do something as a small family unit to compliment all the other stuff we are doing this year.

we’re not going, I’m telling them this morning that basically *if* we go away this year (which is not definite anyway) we would rather go somewhere like CP.
