What a year!
I commented the other day that you have achieved more in your nine years than many people do in 90 years or a whole lifetime.
8 has been a fabulous adventure for you, there will be memories made this year that you will treasure forever and maybe one day tell your own children or even grandchildren about how ‘when I was eight, I …’
I’ll fill in some of those next lines for you here.
When you were eight you lived in a campervan for 10 months

When you were eight you saw golden eagles, sea eagles and leaping salmon for the first time. You spent weeks just roaming where the road took us living amoung red deer, seals, otters and buzzards.
When you were eight you saw sunrises, sunsets, rainbows, gorgeous beaches and more of the mainland of Britain than many people ever see in their lives.

You have made oh so many new friends

some of them were even people!
You have found new depths of responsibility, learnt so many new skills, not to mention several new swear words from such close proximity to Daddy and I every day!
You remain firey, stroppy, fierce and quick to anger. You also remain loving, tender, kind and forgiving. You still hate pink, still have tangled hair and ripped jeans and would rather have bare feet and muddy under your nails than any other state.
You still love animals, Davies, soft toys and books. Your best friends are Davies, Alex, Chloe, Maisie, Lulah although you have spent less time with most of them this year. You are affectionate and tactile, liking to give hugs whenever possible.
You have a spirit of adventure, a willingness to accept any challenge and a zest for life I hope you never lose. You will never fit a mould and if someone dared to suggest you try you’d stamp on it instead.
You are sunny, uncomplicated, full of laughter, song and fun. You have perfected sarcasm and can put someone in their place with just one look.
Happy birthday Fairy, I hope nine can live up to eight xxx
