Following firmly in her brother’s footsteps….
overheard while kids were playing in our bed this morning while I was in the bathroom putting make up on:
There was some sort of maritime adventure going on involving storms at sea and shipwrecking.
D: Scarlett, Scarlett, hold on to the rigging, the storm is getting worse
S: Okay Davies (well actually she says Day-diss but that’s what she means!)
D: Scarlett, Scarlett, where are we Scarlett?
(clearly asking for some sort of co-ordinates from their on board map or for the child to look at the compass)
S: Inside our imagination Davies….
Fucking nora……the kid is a philosopher in the making. Feel free to delete my liberal swearing.

I also wanted to say……do you get paid per picture taken with the self-timer. I don’t think I have ever seen quite such a high proportion of pictures taken on self-timer. This is a favourite:

Interested to know what A and D have on their heads.

ooh, do you think there is some sort of affiliate scheme paying per click for self timer shots? 🙂
D has a seagull I believe, A? well who knows, but it sure ain’t hair… 😉
There is just such a bias of pics without Ady in them that we are at risk of recording a single parent childhood with the snaps, I’m really a bit cack at taking pics so we tend to use self timer. Also there is a certain comedy element to arranging me, a four year old and a two year old and Ady dashing over from the camera to fit into the shot before the timer goes off. we do have a stock of out-takes from the self timer catalogue 😉

Now there’s a good gallery idea! Out-takes set on flickr maybe?!

Blimey, you should review our photos for single parent status. I am never in them.
What you mean you don’t have a little remote control for the self-timer?
Perhaps Davies should be called Cliff,,,,,,BOOM BOOM

I know, I think Ady may be on a one man mission to redress that balance given how many of you he took last week 😉
we do have a remote control for the video recorder which I always feel lends a certain seediness to the thing so we never use it. We do have several very amusing video tapes from a few years ago when we used to prop it up somewhere on drunken evenings on a setting where it films for two seconds every couple of minutes or something so you have a fast forward film account of us and our mates getting pissed 🙂
and ah the old ones are the best, the dog with no nose still makes me giggle every time 😉
