I can’t deny there’s been a lot of swearing, my face is a rather unattractive purpley colour and I’m buggered if I’m going to try and bang pegs into my stoney lawn but it’s up, the children are inside it doing colouring and proclaiming it ‘the best tent we’ve ever been in!’ (gotta love those naive and underexposed to tents generally children who used to only stay in posh hotels 😉 ) and I’m about to see if wireless works in there and go and join them with my cup of tea.
I even had a mid errecting break when David, Joyce and Jeanette (thank you neighbours) came home and I ran inside and hid so I didn’t have to have them standing there watching me or trying to talk or even worse offering to help! 😉

Oh babe, you did it! That has quite honestly brought tears to my eyes 🙂
well done!!! fingers crossed for no wind on the day we arrive though!
I knew you had hidden depths 🙂
That looks such an excellent tent!
That was pretty good going wasn’t it, for first time!
Bet the kids are absolutely loving it.
You’ve now got to sleep in it!
Well done honey 🙂
There is nothing worse than your neighbours walking mid-erection as I have found to my cost on numerous occassions…..
Yay! Well done! There’s no way I could get ours up by myself.
And you have the little flappy bit at the top in place – Sarah and I ended up at Hesfes 2 years ago holding a child (Abbie?) up in the air to grab it as I’d forgotten it!
Ah layla, i got ours up at the extremely windy hesfes on my own last year, with only a bit of help getting the first 4 pegs in. You could you could you could 😉
Well done Nic.
