A far better night’s sleep on the new air bed last night. Makes me realise just how crap the camping mat had gotten.
Today’s jobs were to put all the stuff we’re leaving here into the back of the loft space, clear everything out of the cupboard under the stairs and empty the car out ready to give it to Bruce tomorrow.
We did all of that, along with drinking much tea, listening to the radio and getting all excited about the very short amount of time left before we go.
I made cheese scones for lunch and we had a phonecall booking another viewing next week – they are definitely getting people in to look at the place.
After lunch we went over to Mum & Dad’s. We had some stuff to go on the pile to take to Rum (mostly clothes we won’t need for the next couple of weeks here so may as well not be in the way in the house) and some stuff to collect from there (the two extra back seats for the Sharan which were in their garage and a TV unit we’re giving to Caz and Bid so needed to come over here ready for them to collect from our garage). We stopped for cups of tea and chat with them and arranged to pop back tomorrow to show them the new car.
We still have a bit of an ebay / local free ads pile to deal with but that will have to wait until we’re back from Glastonbury. Slightly kicking myself for leaving that so late really as once we’re back it will only be a week before we leave again but it is a very small pile. No one wants any Thule roof bars suitable for a Touran do they?
We did Earth Hour – I finished cooking in the dark (candlelight) while the kids had a candlelit bath. Ady and I ate by candles and fireglow and then I read many chapters of Danny Champion of the World by candle / firelight too. Was lovely 🙂
Early start in the morning, with fingers crossed we can get some diesel for the Pajero, otherwise Glastonbury will not be happening anyway.
