Library Display

Just wanted to post up some pictures of the display Davies and Scarlett did for the library as part of their RSPB Wildlife Action Awards. I took the display down on Saturday as it’s been up for the 2 weeks we had the space booked for. I’ve had loads of direct compliments and nice comments made from other people passed on to me for the children so it’s been very well recieved.

It ties in really nicely as 3 of the other activities to do are pick up litter, write to your MP and get in the local paper so we’re going to carry on with the same theme and contact the council to see if we can borrow litter collecting stuff and then do the same walk and pick up all the litter we see. We’ll write a press release and see if we can get some coverage from the local paper and also write to our local MP about what we’re doing / have done too. I like the idea that we can tie it all together into a mini campaign and that it is something they are genuinely passionate about and have wanted to do anyway regardless of the WAA.

Here is the writing from the display:

Then they had a selection of photos that they’d taken, some drawings they’d done and some mixtures of the two (photos with drawings stuck on and drawings with photos stuck on) – a selection:

And Davies has compiled his favourites (ie mostly his own) in a display in his bedroom 🙂
