Planning a few days out with the children for the next couple of months. We’ve not been up to London for ages and they’ve both been asking to go. I’m quite tempted by the London Aquarium but it’s not cheap so I reckon we might do the Tate modern instead – I really fancy a go on those slides!
I’ve got a couple of dates in mind but wondered if anyone else was wanting to join us before I make concrete plans?
The other day out, which I’ll open out on Early Years and also on some local lists is a Legoland visit. From their website it appears they may have changed their educational pricing rates so I’ll email them and get their new rates confirmed but anyone provisionally interested in a meet up there?
We were disappointed by the Aquarium, i wouldn’t really recommend it – I think there are loads of less costly things which are more fun.
C & Lily really enjoyed the aquarium but it is hugely expensive.
We were planning the Natural history & Science museums (again) for March, we’d love Tate modern though.
Legoland is a definite as well 🙂
London yes, Legoland depends on when and cost.
I’ve always wanted to go to Legoland! (whispers) where is it though???
We weren’t that impressed with the aquarium. The best one we’ve been to is at North Queensferry north of Edinburgh if you’re ever up that way
Aquarium’s a no then 🙂 I think any sea life type place would have to go a long way to beat Blue Planet which we visited a fair few times when we were oop north.
Will check costs on Legoland then and come back.
Was pondering Tuesday March 6th for the Tate?
😆 at T bird – it’s in Windsor!
Ooh and yay me getting the code right for the link too 🙂
legoland for us – wed!!
Wed not a great day due to working every other wed and D having Badger, but actually the same applies to Mon (Beavers) Thurs (work) and Fri (work) too – so we might have to go with the best day for most people – register your votes here legoland folk! 🙂 (Helen, I had you in mind as we talked Legoland before, and REALLY want you to come so will do my best for Wed xx).
We would also be up for Legoland! No prefferred day, just not a friday as we are so often driving to Dorset.
We were talking about London Aquarium as R really wants to see an octopus, but I’m so not sure about that price just to see an octopus!! Half thought about arranging a group there though if there were enough people that wanted to go (makes itmuch cheaper), but mostly can’t be arsed with the effort of that idea particularly trying to co-ordinate a good day 🙂 It is on the two for one if you go by train thing though apparently making it cheaper.
fingers crossed then.
Em, actually the deep in hull was fantastic, if you ever get a chance to go there.

Would love to do Legoland but typically Wednesday is crap for us. Mondays or Fridays are the best as long as I don’t have Robyn (or even if I do, I suppose), or a Tuesday is possible as well. Couldn’t manage Weds or Thurs at all.
Think girls might be very pissed off if we went without them! How about the week after Easter week – we’re still on holiday then but I think most other people have gone back to school. erm … that’s the week beginning something like the 14th April? Could do any day if you went for that week!
I’m not doing it in the school holidys.
