that’s huge – I always set the longest dimension to 350 (so they work out approx 250×350), that’s on the small side but it messes my template up if I put bigger ones in 🙂

This has messed Nic’s template up, too! Of course, if you had made the right hand column be floating instead of fixed then it wouldn’t matter … I use anything from 150 – 400 pixels wide, depending on the photo and which way up it is, obviously! You don’t want them too big cos they take ages to load up for those poor people not on broadband …
There are two types of size – just resetting the dimensions that we see won’t fix the size of the file that we get to download – and this one is a bit on the big size. It’s about 9 times the size of the largest one I put up last night I think – but you’ll be pleased to hear I can recommend a nice bit of free software to deal with it…
