Now that’s just cruel

I don’t watch a lot of TV really (Nick jr excepted) but among the shows I do like to watch it has come to my attention that two of them will be clashing from next Wednesday at 9pm.

Do I choose The Apprentice or Grand Designs?

  1. You aren’t me, so you choose The Apprentice.
Grand Designs is repeated more often and sooner than The Apprentice too.
Would rather have Kevin than wotsisface any day, on a more shallow and impractical note.

  2. Well, I’d chhose the Apprentice. OTOH, it’s repeated on BBC on Sat and Tuesdays, and it’s online to watch again from about 9am on Thursday mornings. So I’m sure it’s managable 😉 Sharon had a lucky escape last night, though, but I had rather been hoping if her team lost that Syid might get the chop. He’s poisoness. (Fortunately, Ros likes it as well!)

  3. Oh, and I’ve said it before, but there is something quite sext in Sir A. All that power and money. IMO, of course.

  4. That’s exactly what I was hoping too Joyce – and I thought it was going to happen really. Last week and this week I thought that if the result had been ‘on points’ then the other team would have won on their teamwork and so on. But both weeks the losing team just missed the point of the task somehow (focusing on the concierge service on the airline and not selling the add ons). I liked that Ansell clearly didn’t believe Ruth should be back in the boardroom depsite being pushed that way by Sir Alan – I think most of the others would have leapt on the chance to put someone else down if given it. But that probably makes him not suitable for winning really, I guess he should have trodden over others.

I think I’ll have to choose The Apprentice – I know it’s repeated again but it will already have been talked about and I’ll know what happens, whereas Grand Designs doesn’t have the chance of being spoilt by knowing what will happen. Do love Kevin though 🙂

  5. You have said it before Joyce 😉 Can’t see it myself, I struggle to get past his age, although I do get it in Simon Cowell 😉 (everyone say ewww!)there is just too much of a ‘dad’ about Sir Alan somehow.

    Now Kevin….

  6. Apart from Ruth and Paul – I wouldn’t employ any of the others – all style no substance – a kind of Ipod apprentice.

  7. I agree Chris, makes you wonder at the calibre of those who didn’t get through to the final line up really. Has there ever been any mention of the pre-selection process?

  8. My boss at CPW was a Syed. They are all wide boys, all crooked and all deserve to be fired (she says, like you can generalise about a name! rofl!)

My Syed used to alter info on a credit check to make it go through on our logins, so it was dodgy, then when IT phoned up to query it, he’d refuse to say he’d done it. Git.

  9. And yeah, i’d only employ or work with Paul. Ruth is a bitch, Michelle has got prettiest girl in the office syndrome. She’s spotted Paul likes Sharon and she can’t bear it. Silly tart.

    Oh i hated office politics.

  10. Err. Set the video?

you can generalise about names Merry, there are some names I could just not choose for kids names becuase of children I have had in my classes at school. I don’t like paul, comes acros as a bit to slimey for me. ansell is ok, but a bit hopeless

  11. now that would be too easy 😉 actually we can’t cos we don’t have an aerial so we watch all channels including terrestrial ones through Sky which means we can only video what we’re watching.

One of the reasons I named the children names I didn’t know anyone else who had was the name thing – and I’m glad we have a ‘Tarly’ rather than just a ‘Scarlett’ now as there are more of them about and I’ve yet to meet another Tarly. Now Nicolas were everywhere when I was at school but I think we all eventually changed it to some shortened version and now I think you can tell a lot about a Nicky/Nikki/Nicci/Niki/Nic/Nik/Nick by the way they spell it 🙂

  12. That is so true, Nic 😉

And now I’m desperate to know which names Chris F would generalise about, to see if they’re the same ones I could never have named my children!
